All My Favourite Things

Just like any girl that likes to play dress up I LOVE award show season. So this week it all began with the golden globes here is my take on most of the looks that I saw or at least the ones that I thought were even worth mentioning

Best Dressed – Angelina Jolie in Versace

I literally had an OMG moment when I saw her walk in. Usually I am fawning over her hubby but my eyes were definitely only fixated on her. she looked dropped dead gorgeous from head to toe, True hollywood siren definitely two thumbs and even toes up as well

Most Predictable – Charlize Theron in Dior, Kate Beckinsale in Roberto Cavalli 

Not to say these ladies did not look great because I think that they did, and to be fair their “formula” works but one of these days I will need for them to do something to really take my breath away. Charlize being the brand ambassador for Dior pretty much has to wear that to any major awards ceremony to be fair but still I would have liked a bit more pizazz or something. I have to say though I do like the head piece and the side brooch though

Va-Va Voom – Sofia Vergara in Vera Wang

I was so in love with Sophie when she came out in this dress that fitted her like a glove, definitely loved how it showed off her ample curves and hugged all the right areas definitely loved it all

Rock and Roll – Tilda Swinton in Haider Ackermann

This was my second favourite look of the night after Angelina, she looked amazing and pulled this off to perfection. All round fashionista

America’s sweet heart -Reece Witherspoon in Zac Posen

Reece will forever be one of those ladies that you can’t help but like because of the way that she comes across. I think this dress is very sexy and unexpected and she pulls it off wonderfully

Simple and chic – Nicole Ritchie in Julien MacDonald

I love how elegant that she looks with her simple well put together hair and dress, sometimes less is definitely more and I feel like her poise came through with this look

Surprising – Nicole Kidman in Versace and Lea Michele in Marchesa

I can’t really say that I have ever given more thought to what either one of these ladies usual wear at award shows but I really liked both looks. The dress suits nicole’s figure perfectly and the I see lea Michelle is trying to break out into a more mature look (although I have to say someone like halle would have pulled this off way better) but that is just my opinion. That said its still a thumbs up from me

Most disappointing – Emma Stone in Lanvin, Michelle Williams in Jason Wu and Mila Kunis in Dior

Ok all 3 women I love usually so I was not bowled over by their respective ensembles at all. Mila last year killed it on the red carpet but I guess since she is not really there this year as a nominee but as a presenter she toned it down a bit. Michelle Williams I would have expected something more marilyn-esque and more amped up but this fell flat for me. so sad. hopefully as the award season carries on we will see more from each girl, I am still keeping the faith

Added Bonus – Salma Hayek in Gucci and Julie Bowen In Reem Acra

I just think Salma Hayek looks great and i love her figure, i love the fact that those bosoms were “contained” in this dress and I think it totally complemented her figure. Julie looks like an absolute princess even if this dress has been worn before I think she did it justice. will be doing a style steal on this particular dress as I love it so

Playful and cute – Zooey Deschanel

Ok so this is not even so much an outfit critique but how cute are Zooey Deschanel’s nails!

Worst Dressed – Sarah Michelle Gellar in Monique Lhuiller

giirrrrrrl why? that is all! there is no way you thought this would land you in the best dressed category I just don’t have much else to add
